Bronze Bowl- and Vessel collection (Animals)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The inspiration for The Bronze Bowl and Vessel Collection comes from a historical tradition that many cultures have practised through the ages to fashion artistic vessels\/bowls using bronze. These range, for example, from the \u201cSinging Bowls\u201d (Tibet, Japan, Nepal, etc.), the bronze bowls from the Ming dynasty and bowls\/vessels from ancient Greek and Roman times to bronze bowls with Egyptian motives (found in 1849) in northern Iraq. His Bronze Bowl and Vessel Collection mostly features \u201cless familiar animals\u201d. Each item represents a metaphor\u00a0and has a story\/fable\u00a0to it.<\/p>

Die Bronze Bowl and Vessel Collection wurde erstmals 2005 in Stellenbosch, S\u00fcdafrika, in der bekannten Dorpstraat Gallery sowie in zwei Werken in der Everard Read Gallery in Kapstadt und anderen ausgestellt. Die Bronzen sind auf 15 Ausgaben limitiert, wobei jedes St\u00fcck den Namen des K\u00fcnstlers und den Gie\u00dfereistempel tr\u00e4gt. und kann beim K\u00fcnstler bestellt werden.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Pangolin Visitor II (New)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This sculpture is the second one after the first limited (15 editions) sold out. \u201cSolitary animal, with a thick skin. \u201c, \u2026\u201d Introvert\u201d and nocturnal. Mysterious and amazing creature \u2013 with strong paws and claws. Can walk on four or two legs, maintaining balance with its tail and front part of its body. The Temminck’s Ground pangolin is one of the 4x African Pangolin species. Its more pointy scales are quite distinctive, in comparison to the “flatter” scales in other pangolin species. When threatened, they can curl into a tight ball, exposing their sharp scales to their predators. Latin: \u201cPholidota\u201d (\/f\u0252l\u026a\u02c8do\u028at\u0259\/). This very gentle and noble animal is presently on the highly endangered list. There are eight species of pangolins, four found in Africa and four in Asia. The amazing Pangolin for me, is metaphor to a specific human character type: \u201chard on the outside, soft on the inside, noble and gentle.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Die Einfl\u00fcsse und Erkundungen in dieser Serie beziehen sich auf eine \u201eAngst\u201c, ein \u201eZittern\u201c, das weltweit stattfindet. Es gibt eine weltweite Vorfreude auf etwas, das wir irgendwie nicht ganz erkl\u00e4ren k\u00f6nnen, verbunden mit einer Entt\u00e4uschung der politischen F\u00fchrer und der Materialisten. In diesen unsicheren Zeiten wird der Mensch hoffentlich beginnen, \u00fcber das Physische hinaus und nach oben zu schauen, um das \u201egottgeformte\u201c Vakuum zu f\u00fcllen, das in seinem Design enthalten ist. Der Konsumismus und die L\u00fcgen, die die weltweiten Massenmedien uns n\u00e4hren und uns von der Wahrheit blenden, machen es jedoch schwierig,\u2026 \u201enachzuschauen\u201c.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Vor kurzem begann er, die menschliche Form als Metapher in seine Kunstwerke aufzunehmen - er untersuchte den Einfluss von Massenmedien und \u201eSocial Engineering\u201c auf die Weltbev\u00f6lkerung, w\u00e4hrend sich die neue Skulpturenserie \u201ePerformers\u201c ebenfalls mit diesen Themen befasst. Mit den \u201ePerformers\u201c m\u00f6chte Francois den Betrachter einladen, mit dem Kunstwerk zu spielen und zu interagieren, \u00e4hnlich wie bei Figurenspielzeugen, um weitere Bedeutungen und Metaphern zu entdecken. Dies steht im Gegensatz zu skulpturalen Kunstwerken, die manchmal ein sehr \"statisches\" Gef\u00fchl oder ein \"Nicht ber\u00fchren\" -Stigma aufweisen, wie es in alten Museen h\u00e4ufig anzutreffen ist. Mit dieser Serie versucht er, diese Denkweise herauszufordern und die Skulptur dem Betrachter \u201en\u00e4her\u201c zu bringen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
